OIG was established by medical students at Alfaisal University who shared a deep interest in cancer research. Our work is built on three pillars:

Our program facilitates meaningful, early engagement in oncology research by directly aligning student interests with ongoing clinical and academic projects.

At ONCORE, we are committed to creating an accessible, structured, and equitable pathway into oncology research. Students are matched to opportunities based on the specific requirements of collaborating physicians — ensuring placements are purposeful, fair, and transparent.
Recognizing varying experience levels, ONCORE prioritizes capacity building — supporting beginners through hands-on involvement and mentorship. We plan to deliver structured research workshops on methodology, critical appraisal, and scientific writing.
Ultimately, our goal is to make research more feasible for students at Alfaisal while strengthening the institution's academic presence within oncology.
